MEDENT assigns each account a number for you. All the patient's information is displayed on the "look-up" screen for easy recognition. Look up accounts by name (the primary method), Social Security number, account number, chart number, insurance policy number, worker compensation number, ID number, home, work, or cell phone number, or even from a list of that day's scheduled patients. The system even recognizes partial names or phone numbers.

The system also allows you to choose whether to create individual patient accounts or group patients into a family account, even if they have different last names. From the Patient account, you can access the guarantor's insurance information, which includes all the details you need, such as date of onset, effective/expiration dates, referrals, etc.. The Patient Information screen uses a hub effect to make accessing all information easier.

The unlimited account notes section can be used for anything, allowing you to categorize and code these notes by reason. Imagine being able to select notes by the type and date range. The system is so sophisticated that you can enter a name and automatically get a complete patient profile: sex, age, recent visits, account number, allergies, and any other details of that account.
