That is why our MEDENT Practice Management & Electronic Medical Records system provides users with FREE Electronic Claims Submission as a STANDARD FEATURE!!! We strive to be the system by which all others are judged. Once you have entered the charges, the insurance claims are ready to be processed. MEDENT can submit electronic claims directly to many of the larger insurance companies, such as Blue Shield, IHA, CDPHP, Medicare and Medicaid. Submitting claims electronically cuts down on paperwork, saving you time and money. Remittances for electronic claims are received quicker than those for paper claims. Many commercial insurance companies receive claims electronically via clearinghouses, such as Emdeon (formerly WebMD). Additionally, insurance companies have begun accepting crossover claims electronically when MEDICARE is the first payor. The MEDENT system will also print claim forms for all the insurance companies that do not yet have electronic claims submissions. MEDENT produces claims forms in the most efficient manner, with the most complete end result. Our system separates the forms by primary and secondary claims, then prints all the details of the first payor on the last line of the form, eliminating time and effort when sending out the secondary claims. Processing Worker's Comp claims can vary from state to state and MEDENT handles them accordingly. For example, in Ohio, the comp form can be faxed along with the progress note; in New York the comp claims can be sent electronically along with the progress note. Sending electronically eliminates the need to fill out the lengthy C4 form.
