Security Module

For practices wishing to achieve the very highest degree of security and confidentiality, we offer the MEDENT Security Module, which is configured to work with MEDENT's standard password capabilities, giving you an encompassing, detailed control system.

The Security Module can be purchased as a stand alone feature and is standard on the "MEDENT Electronic Medical Records System".

Key points of the "Security Module";

	Assign at least one, and as many as five, system administrators to oversee the whole system.
	Map each user's access to the system.
	View and reset user's passwords.
	Set password rules, including a minimum length requirement and alpha-numeric requirements.
	Set the number of days that a user's password is valid. Give a ten day count down so that users know when their password is about to expire.
	A Chart Audit Report which logs the user's activity within a Patient's Chart. This report can be run by user or by Patient.
	Activate the MEDENT user file from the Security System.
	Automatic Privacy Screen is activated after a pre-determined length of time without activity, and can only be deactivated by the user re-entering their password.
	A view only mode for private areas of the system such as Patient Information, Patient Schedules, etc.
	Control access to E-Mail through Security Module.

The MEDENT Security Module is the answer to all of your confidentiality issues and also meets all CCHIT 2006 and 2007 security requirements as well.
