Solution #2: If its a remote VPN, see if other PC's have the same problem. If they do or if there is no other PC to test they may have a VPN bandwidth issue. (dialup can have the same issue if it's a poor line / connection - try connecting again). To test a bandwidth issue, try to transfer a file from the MEDENT server: Start à MEDENT Administration à Transfer file from server à remotecontrol.exe. This should take around 20-25 seconds to transfer. If taking minutes the client has VPN bandwidth issue and needs to call their VPN provider |
Solution: This is rarely done.

Background: When the client ran the upload, they answered Yes to Do you wish to replace the descriptions?
Solution: To change back, restore the dia.dat and dia.idx from the tape from prior to the change. Note: Once restored, check to make sure the descriptions are the way they were before. Rerun the diagnosis code upload and say No to Do you wish to replace the descriptions? For the client to see the changes, go into the Diagnosis Code Master File and add a new code. When you [Esc] out to the Master File menu, the Dx frequency will rebuild. Have the user go back into MEDENT and a new Dx frequency should transfer to the PC.
The utility will save the old diagnosis file in the fil directory (dia_save.dat and dia_save.idx). These can be copied over the current dia.dat and dia.idx to put the diagnosis file back to what it was before the upload update utility was run. The utility to update the diagnosis codes will have to be run again and the option to change descriptions needs to be answered NO. |
Solution: All diagnosis codes are set to Yes to default at the time of Charge Entry. To change the flag, run Set Default Flag to 'No' for All Dx History & Problem List Problems. |
