Lab Orders

Lab test results are a critical component of an electronic patient chart. Many orders must be reviewed so the process needs to be very efficient and effective for the practice. Labs are also one of the key components to help drive disease management, PQRI, and P4P DOQ-IT clinical outcomes reports. Thus, having the lab test result in the patients chart in an electronic data format is very important. To assist with this, MEDENT provides The MEDENT Lab Results Clearinghouse. Most national and regional labs are members and several hospitals as well. Please check with us regarding the status of the lab company or hospital that is used in your office. There is another method used to electronically upload lab results electronically for practices with inhouse labs and LIS (Lab Information Systems). For these we write custom interfaces so the results can be retrieved into the MEDENT EMR electronically and efficiently. Data can also be entered into the system through scanning or manual entry.
