Very Fast Progress Note

With MEDENT's Progress Note, you can document the patient's visit while in the exam room so, when you come out, you are finished. This eliminates the need to stay after hours. When you click on answers to questions, the system writes out text that is plain and easy to read. E/M level of service bullets are also counted.

Every provider has their own set of progress notes that contain pre-optimized SOAP "DocGens" and "Plan Packages". These master docgen templates can be updated, on the fly, when in the "live" progress note. This allows the user to refine their defaults for maximum efficiency and speed. Everything can be point and click, NO TYPING IS NEEDED! Depending on the given answer, a branch will open, allowing for complete, personalized, and fast documentation of the patient encounter.

The MEDENT "DocGens" contain medical content for CC, HPI, ROS, Multi-System Exams, and Medical Procedures. When the patient arrives for a follow-up visit, the system displays all the patient's prior progress notes, creating a new progress note with the data from the prior note. All this allows the doctor to see where the problem stood at the last visit and then change it based on the patient's current condition. History items that are noted in the progress note automatically update the patient's history document with no additional effort. This is a great time saver.

Another time saver is that orders are issued directly within the progress note, assisted by MEDENT's individualized dynamic memory system. This frequency design examines what the past diagnoses have been when presented with similar symptoms. The system then presents what remedies have been most commonly prescribed for this diagnosis. This dramatically reduces the time it takes to issue orders. To make the process even faster, MEDENT has a feature named "Plan Packages". All the plan actions, that need to be taken for a given assessment, are instantly and automatically created with the flexibility required. Plan Packages are a revolutionary feature of the MEDENT EMR/EHR system.

To assist with knowledge-based assessment and planning, MEDENT has an Hx link next to each assessment in the progress note. When this is clicked, it instantly shows every plan that the user has written in prior progress notes, for this patient and for this dx. All the plan items are links that, when clicked, go directly into the order or test that was requested at that time so the results can be reviewed or any test reordered if desired. To further assist with speed and performance, when in the progress note, there is a "Quick Select" vertical floating toolbar that allows instant navigation to any key area in the progress note. There is also a "Bookmark" toolbar, at the top of the screen, that can be custom configured to provide single click access to any of the most helpful areas in the chart. An example would be to have a single click directly into a given section of the patient's History document.
