MEDENT Patient Portal

  • Patients can enter and update their patient demographic information. The practice has the ability to control the content which is uploaded.
  • Patients can enter and update their Past Medical, Family and Social History. The practice has the ability to control the content which is uploaded.
  • Patients can receive lab results via the MEDENT Patient Portal. The practice controls which labs are sent to the patient's portal.
  • Communicate messages securely to and from patients.
  • Patients can request appointments. (OPTIONAL)
  • Patients can book their own appointments. (OPTIONAL)
  • Patients can request prescription refills.
  • Patients can view Rx education material.
  • The practice can generate documents and export them to the patient's portal. This could be used for education materials, excuses and permission letters.
  • Patients will have access to a summary of their chart. A patient can log in via their portal account and retrieve an electronic summary of their chart in the form of a CCD or PDF.
The Chart Summary feature of the MEDENT Patient Portal meets the following Meaningful Use criteria:

MU MENU Objective: Provide patients with timely electronic access to their health information (including lab results, problem list, medication lists, medication allergies) within four business days of the information being available to the Eligible Provider.

Measure: More than 10% of all unique patients seen by the Eligible Provider are provided timely (available to the patient within four business days of being updated in the certified EHR technology) electronic access to their health information subject to the Eligible Provider’s discretion to withhold certain information.
